Present your paper
The Organization of the "4th Free Software Congress. Region of Valencia", which will be held in the Polytechnic City of Innovation (CPI) of Valencia on 11th and 12th November 2010, gives you different possibilities of participation. The participation is open to all experts and teachers who are interested in presenting their projects, experiences and knowledge in the Congress in accordance with the specified objectives.
There are different ways of participation: Lectures, Tutorials, Workshops and Roundtables. These sessions and/or activities which will be run in parallel with the congress lectures. The Comitee of the Congress Program will thoroughly evaluate the proposals suitability to the objectives aimed at the congress.
These are the descriptions of the different proposed modalities:
Lectures
Descriptive sessions about topics related to the present and future of free software, present developments and their application to teaching, refer to to topics such as the creation of interactive digital contents, catalogation, open standars, use of licences…
Tutorials
Training and practical sessions of approximately 1 hour aimed at increasing knowledges about a specific topic: use of tools for the elaboration of digital contents, use of the interactive digital board and so on. They will be like short specialized training sessions.
Workshops
Sessions of no more than an hour aimed at describing and experimenting specific aspects of interest: animations in OpenOffice, creation of activities using Jclic, creation of contents with eXe-learning, free software use for music creation, video format reestructuring, practical demonstration of assemblies, innovative use of Linux,…
Roundtables
Sessions to share in different topics related to the objectives of the Congress. The Congress Program Comittee will evaluate the roundtables proposals that may come up.
If you register as a speaker, it is important to indicate which modality you would like to participate in and you must include an exhaustive description on your proposal as well as the necessary equipment for its execution.
